Hiyoko-gumi ｜ひよこ組

We’re excited to expand our programming this year with a Toddler program for 1-year-olds, offering an even earlier introduction to Japanese language and culture.

The first few years of life are a crucial period for language acquisition, and our Toddler Program (Hiyoko-gumi) is designed to make the most of this formative stage. We welcome children ages 12 to 24 months into a warm, nurturing environment where their natural curiosity and ability to absorb language flourish. By immersing our youngest learners in the sounds and rhythms of Japanese, we help them develop a strong foundation for bilingualism in a playful and organic way—preparing them for a smooth transition into our Preschool Program for ages 2 to 5.

With a small class size of no more than 10 children, our dedicated teachers provide individualized attention, fostering each child's growth through hands-on exploration and engaging activities. Additionally, children with fall birthdays (ages 21–24 months) can begin in Hiyoko-gumi in September and transition to our Suzume-gumi (2s Classroom) as soon as they turn two years old. We can’t wait to welcome our youngest learners as they begin their bilingual journey!

１歳児を対象とした幼児クラスを新設します。これまでより早い時期から日本語と日本文化にふれる機会をお届けすることができます。

幼少期は、言葉の力をぐんぐんと吸収する大切な時期です。私たちの一歳児クラス「ひよこ組」では、この貴重な成長のタイミングを大切にしながら、お子さま一人ひとりの好奇心と言語の芽を育むプログラムを提供します。12か月から24か月のお子さまたちを温かく見守り、安心してのびのびと過ごせる環境の中で、自然と日本語に親しんでいただけます。

毎日、日本語の音やリズムに触れながら、遊びを通して無理なくバイリンガルの土台を育むことを大切にしています。2歳から5歳のお子さまを対象としたプリスクールクラスへのスムーズな移行にもつながるよう、丁寧にサポートします。

クラスは最大10名までの少人数制。先生たちが一人ひとりに寄り添いながら、好奇心を引き出す体験や遊びをたっぷりと用意しています。また、秋生まれのお子さま（21〜24か月）は、2歳になるのを待たずに9月からひよこ組でスタートし、お誕生日を迎えたタイミングで、すずめ組（2歳児クラス）へ進級することができます。

最年少の子どもたちが、ここからバイリンガルの世界へと一歩を踏み出す姿を、私たちも心から楽しみにしています。
