Join us for the Aozora's School Year Day Camps!

At Aozora Day Camps, children are immersed in Japanese culture and language. All of the day-camp themes are specifically selected to deepen children’s connection and understanding of Japan and Japanese culture.

The program is for children from Pre-K to 5th Grade (children born in years 2016-2022). All activities are held in Japanese. Thus, attending students must be able to understand Japanese instruction. Children will also enjoy freshly prepared lunch!

あおぞらスクールイヤー・デイキャンプへのご案内！あおぞらデイキャンプでは、子どもたちが奥深い日本文化に触れ、日本へのつながりを感じてくれるような題材を選びました。クラスは完全に日本語で行われますので、子どもたちは日本語にどっぷり浸かり日本語を練習をすることができます。対象はPre-Kから5年生まで。全てのアクティビティは日本語で行われますので、教室内での日本語の指示や会話が理解できることが参加の条件となります。ほかほかで美味しい給食もついてきます。

  • Put on your lab coat and get ready to explore! Campers will dive into exciting hands-on experiments, messy science fun, and amazing discoveries while learning science-themed Japanese vocabulary along the way.

    白衣を着て、わくわくの実験にチャレンジ！キャンパーたちは、手を動かしながら楽しいサイエンス実験や不思議な発見を体験し、日本語で理科に関することばにも親しみます。

  • Open a book and let the adventure begin! Campers will travel through magical stories, create imaginative crafts, act out favorite scenes, and discover the joy of reading together in Japanese.

    本を開いて、冒険の世界へ出発！キャンパーたちは、楽しい絵本や物語の世界を旅しながら、工作やごっこ遊び、お話づくりを通して、日本語で読む楽しさを味わいます。

  • Travel back in time to explore the world of ancient Japan! Campers will discover samurai, castles, myths, traditional crafts, and old Japanese traditions through hands-on activities, games, and storytelling in Japanese.

    タイムスリップして、古代日本の世界を探検しよう！キャンパーたちは、侍やお城、日本の神話や昔ながらの文化について、工作や遊び、お話を通して日本語で楽しく学びます。

  • Become a little wagashi chef and discover the sweet world of Japanese treats! Campers will make colorful Japanese-inspired sweets, learn about seasonal traditions, and enjoy hands-on cooking fun—all while using Japanese.

    小さな和菓子職人になって、日本のあま〜い世界を楽しもう！キャンパーたちは、季節を感じる和菓子づくりやクッキング活動を通して、日本の文化にふれながら、日本語で楽しく活動します。

  • Dive into the colorful world of Japanese pop culture! From kawaii characters and fashion to anime-inspired art and fun games, campers will explore Japan’s creative culture through playful activities and Japanese language fun.

    カラフルでかわいい日本のポップカルチャーの世界へようこそ！キャンパーたちは、キャラクターやファッション、アニメ風アートやゲームを通して、日本の「かわいい文化」を日本語で楽しく体験します。

  • Discover the bold and colorful world of Japanese modern art! Inspired by famous artists and creative styles from Japan, campers will explore painting, sculpture, mixed-media art, and imaginative self-expression—all in Japanese.

    Registration Deadline: June 1, 2026

    カラフルでユニークな日本の現代アートの世界を楽しもう！キャンパーたちは、日本の有名なアーティストや作品にインスピレーションを受けながら、絵画や工作、さまざまなアート活動を日本語で体験します。

  • Run, jump, cheer, and challenge yourself! Campers will enjoy exciting team games, relay races, obstacle courses, and classic Japanese undokai activities while building teamwork and confidence in Japanese.

    Registration Deadline: June 3, 2027

    走って、ジャンプして、みんなでチャレンジ！キャンパーたちは、リレーや障害物レース、日本のうんどう会の遊びを通して、体をたくさん動かしながら、日本語でチームワークやチャレンジする楽しさを学びます。

Late Registration Fee

If you sign up your child for a Camp after the Registration Deadline, you may need to pay a 10% Late Registration Fee.

Cancellation Policy

  • Refunds: $150 processing fee per cancellation or schedule change.

  • Family Credit: $50 processing fee per cancellation or schedule change.

    Please note:

  • Registrations can transfer to siblings but not other families.

  • No refunds for closures due to government mandates, snow, or absences due to illness.

Refund/Credit Schedule:

  • 60+ days before camp: 100% refund or credit (minus fees).

  • 31–60 days: 50% refund or credit (minus fees).

  • 16–30 days: 25% refund or credit (minus fees).

  • 15 days or less: No refund or credit.
